I am pleased with the BackUp Pro units. They are being used in Shop 76 to assist with decking tasks and will be trialed in Shop 06 this Fall with maintenance tasks.

The Backup tool is amazing. Initially I was concerned too about the pressure to the chest as well, but after trialing it myself I can say it is extremely comfortable and disperses the pressure across the chest very effectively. I have not seen any additional risk using the Backup, but we have seen a huge decrease in musculoskeletal strain in the lumbar, and thoracic spine, knees, shoulders, wrists, and hands. We have many shops using these for floor work, and standing and leaning work, like thru our stanchions on the B deck to reach the side walls.
The rubber foot on the arm has a very good anti-slip rubber on it. I have not been informed of anyone complaining of it slipping while in use. The product is has a very strong aluminum leg, and strong plastic base. Again I have not heard of any breakage issues during use.
